It’s no secret that I’m a fan of McBess, so it’s an automatic reblog when I see an awesome start-to-finish animation of one of his sketches. And did you know you can buy his book?
I’ve been particularly enjoying browsing the sketchbook section of Britt Wilson’s portfolio site. If you would like a custom illustration, she’s currently taking commissions.
Love this poster by Bicicleta Sem Freio, a group of illustrators from Brazil that wanted to design artwork for a band – so they formed their own called Black Drawing Chalks.
In the movie version of this, the adult Tenderoni kid is played by Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
I have a bunch of Post magazines from the 50’s & 60’s, and the illustrations are killer. Also, never have I seen so many ads for ride-on lawnmowers. (via petervidani)
I have to admit to being quite a fan of McBess. The above illustration was for a poster that you can buy over at The Strange Attractor and, if you haven’t seen it, the video he worked on for his band The Dead Pirates is also well worth a watch.
