In the movie version of this, the adult Tenderoni kid is played by Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

In the latter half of 2008 I made a trip to New York, and one of the many photos I took was this one from the streets around Soho. For some reason it’s become my ‘go-to’ picture anytime I need something to put in a project as a placeholder, and it strikes me that a truck/van this distinctive would be well recognised locally and there might be a few stories about it’s origin or use (I’m not native to NY). Anyone know anything about it?
