Last November, my wife and I travelled with a few friends to Japan. Here’s the edited video highlights, including boating down the Hozu River, monkeying about at Shibuya Crossing and visiting the Tsukiji fish markets.
I was fortunate enough to be on this trip, and Matt has done an amazing job putting together the video. I travelled light and only took photos with my iPhone, so it’s fantastic to have something like this :)
Fistfull of Crime — The most mental and awesome animated short you will see today. Made in only 48 hours, as part of the annual 48 Hours competition, by team Avatard — Wade Cowin, Kris Hermansson, Steve Le Marquand and Hadley Donaldson. Featuring Ghost Mother.
It’s no secret that I’m a fan of McBess, so it’s an automatic reblog when I see an awesome start-to-finish animation of one of his sketches. And did you know you can buy his book?
The Sandpit, by Sam O’Hare, is an amazing tilt-shift style video showing ‘a day in the life of New York’, and was created using over 35,000 stills. You can read about the process here. (found via Cameron Moll)
This spot for Armadillo Scooter Wear is awesome. The guy needs a posse. A badass posse of scooter riders, impervious to cream pies, glass, walls, and fire. AWESOME.
Apparently the Director of Photography on this, Michael Bonvillain, has worked on Lost, Fringe and the film Zombieland. For full info visit their site.

Playing on American Bandstand. And by ‘playing’ I mean miming of course, but in full gold-panted glory, complete with awesome fade out at the end of songs. SO GOOD. (via northshoreponyclub)
